The Vault, is a new Indian reality TV series coming soon, on the lines of American reality TV series, Shark Tank.

In the series investors hear ideas from contestants and grill them with tough questions, to the point that they are sure of the idea being good. They also negotiate and invest in many of these ideas. The American version of the series is running since 2009 and has gained a lot of popularity across the world.

In ‘The Vault’, there will be seven investors who will judge the contestants. The jury panel will include Rahul Singh (Founder & CEO at The Beer Cafe), Mohit Goel (CEO at Omaxe Limited), Ameera Shah (Managing Director & CEO at Metropolis Healthcare Limited), Sudip Bandyopadhyay (Chairman at Inditrade Capital), and Vivek Bhargava (CEO at iProspect India) as the main investors, while Anupam Mittal (Founder & CEO at People Group), and Kunal Shah (Founder and CEO at FreeCharge) will be guest investors.

Applications are now open for the show. The organizers of the show will curate and present 50 startups or individuals with ideas on the show. They will then be allowed to present their idea or product to the jury panel, who will in turn decide upon the idea to put their money on.

The organizers plan to make ‘Entrepreneurship’ a household concept in India. This is an opportunity of a lifetime for students, SMEs, rural ventures, and young startups who want to grab funding and gain popularity at the same time.

‘The Vault’ is scheduled to launch in October 2016 on television. If you have an idea, product, or startup, this is a golden chance for you. Apply for The Vault now.

Even DIPP is planning to start a similar program on Doordarshan. Although, nothing much is revealed about DIPP’s plans, we have heard the committee also talking of a separate television channel for startups, similar to Doordarshan Kisan. Do share a line about your thoughts in the comments below.
